Couple minutes he's getting settled in at the podium we will take a lesson from Saints -- don't think. As we talk about -- routier's now. While the intent of our players has been outstanding we got a lot of stuff don't we've got our first and second down package -- all personnel groupings. We've got to third down package in whittled down and distances. Which is something that we -- question because of the lack of the OTA's. We got into the red zone we got into the tight red zone -- worked exclusively the last three days. We've got our short yardage package and we got our 22 personnel packages that we use in the middle of the field today we ended up with a goal line. So. You take a look at everything that we've gotten and he's OTA's man it has been outstanding. The teaching giving great. I think our coaches have done an outstanding job of evaluating the personal the we have more team which their strength which their weaknesses. We've got our training camp schedule really completely finished now just knowing the players do we have -- we have to work going has been outstanding. Played them. The biggest setback to we have had. These OTAs was injured Greg grooming us two days ago. Usually run down the field and his non surgical knee gave all and he's got an ACL and NCL and he's gonna miss -- six -- weeks or excuse me months. And now and it's just really worked hard enough. The whole team feels bad for the coaching staff feels bad for -- part of the game but -- you know this kid has put in the time he's put in the effort. And it's got to go through the whole process again sort of be -- form over the support of by chase Daniels hit his stone -- stood as a thrower or someone or helmet the other day. We can describe this as his brain but there's a little hairline fracture there. So he's not going to be able to throw from by about the next -- -- have weeks will be ready for training camp he's fine there's no surgery about these in the -- They'll be ready go as we take a look at our roster you know we started this thing -- Jahri Evans. -- -- push rod deal limited a lot of things they can do. And they are full go now so that's a very very encouraging. As we look at our roster right now there's two guys are not going to be ready for the start training camp that's will be Jonathan Vilma which we knew. And they -- great release everybody else will be ready for training camp. Willie some guys back here and in the world's over the next couple weeks to continue your rehab. What were progressing great effect that's exciting. I would I would end with this. But he's -- very very proud of this coaching staff I think shall be very very proud of the job that supports that he's done from the trainers to equipment mentor some photographers. We shall let -- there was one mandate do your job and these guys have done their jobs so. We're not only excited about where I took place and happen in the OT ace we're really really looking forward to get to training camp. This might be the most talented football team with such as we've been here and and now that you know the mandates Colombia put this thing together and no move forward so that'll take your questions for coach self pace. Here's a really good today his dad lives. Okay. So we name means you're here now. Yeah I think they -- so just before the reason I came here's number one. Great for the first someone like for Celek had a chance to make a difference what a city that was under Warner for. And then come in here I had no Mickey Loomis for thirty years and what his core beliefs or. First go to work which shortened 1995 so I knew his core beliefs swore. And now it was somehow put -- we first got here what's scarier was I mean we were and in the tunnels Lotta people run out. But. And that first euros six who we brought together a football team and and took that Jackson Mississippi Millsap who their five whiskers we had nowhere to come home to. We were horrific in training camp I think -- final pre season schedule was one of three and we don't know how many games -- going. Drew couldn't throw the ball back then he could throw the ball I think it'll afford pre season game. Went to Cleveland won a game go to Green Bay we're down 173 with three turnovers in the first quarter come back to winning game. And then reopen the dome on Monday night against the winner. Just kind of -- place that in -- in the -- six season. -- in the NFC championship for -- this -- from going to a world championship. You know I look back on. When I look back on his journey to this point. Is the best job I've ever had you know. Let me say I don't like the food -- -- Field -- just it's the don't sit well with -- love the people -- felt. The fans your great. The passion for football to resolve this community. Especially some relive as best you ever been a part of so looking back on this has been one of the best decisions are made. What do -- do you get through a hard working that you get the fans so you think now. -- everything goes well. -- but I would go to the morning -- from the work we stay here would work too late these last you know 45 weeks I go home. But what's the history chuckles and what she has pin -- more and and I go to bed. So I don't I'm like get a lot of feedback. Saint Cincinnati coach Joseph video on WW LA MS I guess I would have a team acted in more Valencia and forcing guys to drive the golf ball. We do every year itself against some that -- did. We've done things like people. Go cart ride and would that would there -- a lot of different things soul and that with a little teams scramble more were you I. I'm sorry I'm sorry you got -- sorry that you. I hear your players. To get ready for -- and I guess we're. Really. You moves forward at. -- do we had that discussion at the end of the practice today you know what's happening this football team is unprecedented. And -- to do something has never been done before we've got to do something is never come to them before this offseason we've got to come back in the best shape I've ever been in. The committee has got to be stronger than it's ever been we've got a good do the job of coach making sure they're making the proper evaluations and making the proper place election. Ask our players do things that we can do. But our players know exactly what we're up against our coaches know exactly war against. This going to be this is going to be a challenge and they know it. Look what the. -- really hard did he surprise them. Because that was just wrapped up put everybody's locker and ovals ago but now it's. Well we is scheduled this. Can't. -- and -- You're safe of drivers and I think I've made this comment before I think that defensive backs. When they come in as a rookie. Have historically. Not been around and have made their biggest jump from year one -- year two and you can really tell that would defensive backs. So -- come back in great shape he's really come back to learn that new system for the second time in two years. He's got confidence he she is out for the -- he's really got outstanding ball skills and he's he's come back in here to win a job I -- maturity level with him is really. This really on the rise he understands was expected him. And he's earned the respect of his teammates which every rookie in -- should try to do what he's done that. So did you say things and easy so far this off season -- unexpected that's going to be jumping anybody -- officials won't be easy. I'll say this. To this point we have not talked about how like I told you guys the beginning VO -- we want to have great routier's with great teaching sessions we won't have. Great participation by our players. And when this phases over you don't want him to the next phase of training camp and training camp that evaluation process will take place and we'll see. What person -- or decide this -- mister Benson. Who best suit the needs of our football team. But that has not been discussed yet. Whose relievers -- -- -- yeah putts that Mario is and. I got a fax from Bill Belichick this morning and now we're take a look at that and I think that's should be something. Good midfield next -- partial -- settlement. -- -- -- great balance. As a second gear good eye hand coordination has really done a pretty good job of grasping the system so far. This player but you don't. -- really likes him. I think if you -- know we talked our former he's gonna tell -- that this may be the best rookie crop of offensive -- we've had since we've been here. -- -- medal capabilities. And good balance. These guys don't make a lot of mistakes now I know this and we all know this because of the nature of the OTA's and the way they are right now that evaluation process is -- mean a lot more when they get the pads or. Which so far it was offensive lineman men have done a good job we're we're really happy with -- are usually have two of them. He didn't want that I really. You know. -- I think that again -- -- those guys this is a second year in the league so we're seeing that's a huge growth spurt with him. I think when you put him into a system like this that growth spurt can be more. Again evaluation process for the alignment alignment because of the CBA agreement is not as clear cut as a was a year ago. But you see the maturity level with cam. You see his attention to detail interaction with teammates. He's done a good job of picking up the system to. So we're we're expecting big things out of him. I just don't disappoint us so -- is that a coach Joseph video on WW LA let's have a dot com. You can. Based on what's. This all -- we can do right now. Is evaluate and be realistic where we are right now. And everybody knows what two goals are. We'll take one day at a time. Went to one game at a time when we get today game would take one step at a time one possession at a time one quarter at a time one -- for the time one game at a time. And then you take your body work grouped together LSU that leaves us. And it's a leaves us where we don't want be to be a great accomplishment if not all be disappointed and I -- my house player. And. -- excuse just. Granderson -- foundation. There this this was an excuse that's swisher always sure we got schedule up welcome. I don't talk about a. It's good. His career -- about. Physically. Hey you know but that's surprising to pleasantly surprising that there hostile you know we evaluated on film him on film. We evaluated him as one of the top linebackers and and in the latest -- the linebacker. We saw this foot speed -- knee bend his pad level. His plays on the perimeter his place in the paint and then -- plays first pass. Now when you get to meet him in person go through the process you really like the person. But now when you see him digest a new system like he has over the last six weeks and really become a great communicators in that system. I mean this is this is icing on the cake man doing you know -- -- roll the dice on stuff like that and you know David has been everything that we thought he'd be and then and then some he's a great job force. And he loves football loves football. -- very okay. Who might that's tough to say you know I'll say this I think he's made his biggest strides in the last three weeks where he's at a point now restarted -- some jogging. I think that's all positives I know he feels good about where he is no it didn't you know Vilma. You gotta you gotta keep the reins on him because -- there's a game the more you -- play and you know there's a game in the parking -- he wants to play and so we've got to be Smart with him. What he's made great strides and I'm not sure that I can actually tell you a timetable on him but he's getting better. Part of it and yet and I really can't. Because I don't know there's a lot of doctor. That's -- Let's find -- -- his -- bit the other day he wanted to practice we don't let him practice he's part. Dolphins have one is intact a greater role. You're playing the hell out. Every and I got better grasp -- a long way to go got to get better. You know. A real sense of responsibility to this football team to his coaching staff tour organization. Don't work to get better every day but I think I know our football team better than I've ever known it because. Causing Stanback and watching it and act interact more with the offense more than ever have before. We're integrating new defense I've got to get better at that but. Somebody veterinary. I think I think the pros this. These guys there's a lot of physical contact and football games -- play sixteen them and if you go to the playoffs and you get to the final game you're playing 9020 them. So I'm in full agreement with the -- only contact in the off season. There's always everybody's doing complying with -- the downside is the evaluation of offensive and defensive -- The downside is maybe that's changed structure of your protections a little bit earlier this season to protect quarterback. But almost four you know we've we've come out of this thing again besides Greg -- is our guys are healthy there rating go we've gotten better and -- And animal fort. Saints assistant head coach Joseph video on WW LMF yeah. Hey listen you guys all seem practice before you've been out there were more conscious with the helmet to helmet contact. I don't think that the the that the practices or as quick as Chris because of incidental contact it just look out for. These things -- dinner great we get back to training camp with the pats on. What were being conscious of where to stay within the guidelines in place there. Not really we we we listen we decided you know our installations and our teaching progression is -- stay the -- and they're gonna stay the same as emotional as the head coach here and so not really -- You have less. I say this the correct try to keep track -- -- I've had over the course of all these OTA's about a total of an hour. Lester would have normally had so. When I get to training camp. We can get -- over in the training camp how -- scheduled down that putt my full time Buick linebackers and now. This may come to practice appears to me also so. Sporting coach and I'm excited that -- Important to me is important our football team. That's what I am this is where do as well loved. -- -- It's when your contract -- -- for him lately on the first baseman. Not every day. We talk about you. I don't know if you're the answer to that. What about -- Way to play and it's. Really talk about you and good Rick's question yeah. I was like. I say don't say they would go. Yeah we go. Certain person subversive from within here we go later hey man. Okay. -- Well we think -- with a -- -- big improvement and I think that you're gonna see more pressure package would assume behind it. Whereas before we had a pressure package there was man behind -- sure hope for. Number one the good quarterbacks got diagnosed with children is his attitude deep zone is -- to three deep zone is that a role so. I think quarterbacks obviously identified main coverage quickly note go where it didn't -- nowhere to go with the ball now they gotta get the ball there you know. With -- own pressures that we have now. Thing comes from all different places open closed you can bring a safety or linebacker you bring to linebackers. But now they have to diagnosed coverage which usual they should change to get to the quarterback.
