Yeah I'm fine I'm fine it's in memory in people cinema Texan as the story now that that senator Reid has backed off was saying he misspoke and his comments about comparing. Sandy and and Hurricane Katrina apparently you're not going to say anything about it good it's certainly I and I'm getting comments across the board somebody some people say he's right on. Some people -- and it was an idiotic statement. Mean what what's. Well stressed or what you start with the tracks this statement was flat out incorrect or wait only incorrect. By any measure. Our shot Connally it was really insulting all of Gulf Coast residents. Shopper through the worst natural disaster in US district by any -- So as an idiotic statement and I say that not as. Opinion or not at the artist -- not a conservative which is based on the plane. -- So it's saying he misspoke you know that's always -- sort of they're really those are votes in the Gulf Coast or general apologies. -- I have no idea. A lot of people are asking myself. Included but is statement was just flat out. Completely. Wrong and it was very very insensitive. -- -- was a horrible storm as well a lot of people. Suffered a lot nobody's an iron. And all of this -- come together arch its support -- the crew will leave -- Albania are certainly did and sent along with many many others including such Michael -- Well I mean which I talked about that bill and there are things that it. That -- when we talk about the Katrina bell that it finally got to a point where was attached to them to the to the military spending bill before any real -- -- aren't flowing down here and -- is is not a standalone issue it's it's certainly -- -- Katrina was journalists and but there with earnings than that bill. That you know like the -- study and fix them the. Absolutely and we should accept but actually in the house so. -- -- got some immediate needs and look hard at some of those other buying or selling to corporate. But the but they they certainly. That's senator road king I'm -- senator or representative came from new York and and got him and Chris -- certainly all open a flurry. Until they walked away from a wide why they do then I mean to the -- at -- much -- -- with seven. Point eight billion something like that an initial bill Milliken and another fifteen and a couple of days ranked. Quite all right -- -- I -- that but but could to get back to their original especially by any. Actual measure Harry Reid's comments were just I don't know lay flat out wrong factually wrong I mean they were so wrong there were idiotic. Why I mean. Pretty get when he gets that kind of stuff -- -- speak off the cuff when you're on the senate floor. Yeah you get -- Unfortunately par for the course essentially pretty stupid things before. Mommy not I saw some stories about. You know his comments about Boehner and then Boehner coming back not on the record of course -- you know. Expletive deleted type of stuff and I mean so here I mean we're seeing. We're hearing a bunch of ugly things that are that are happening across the board opinion Communists yeah it's certainly get. But there's an old saying you have your own opinion but you can't have your own trucks and action and Harry Reid can't. And of them facts and make it up because what he says it was just completely. Factually incorrect -- now he's idiotic can really insulting to people about polls. And did I mean wind when he made these statements did you all -- flooding him with information about what the actual facts word is that why he's backing off. Did I mention it's pretty obvious cheap you can. I'd. Say about our second Google in the -- storms and it's pretty aren't easy to ascertain how long -- Well that's true I mean I'm you know -- you and I you were on the phone tell me when the when the -- -- turn to 2 o'clock in the morning and I remember right it was just that I saw you when I certainly am and everybody down here knows that. But I mean talk about a man who's -- -- come considerable amount of power inside the beltway making your kind of statements does this -- to the trust him anybody across the board up there. Battle it doubled. And on short shorted us sent her -- area that's par for the course. Par for the mountain and that's the scary part about everything up there. When I when are we gonna see -- and get a seat. More discussion on on the you know. What's gonna happen up there are we gonna see more standalone bill since -- -- -- that's what is raising -- more than anything else is the fact that so many things are stuck in so many other things everything gets -- convoluted of -- so. Oh. I wish we got. Actually that regularly got back just focusing on bills. But had that sort of single stroke at such as you know arms but that's school in the state legislature -- the -- Constitutional requirement in Louisiana changed it. Completely unrelated amendments -- bills are sure wish. I know what that was the rule in congress as well but it's obviously now. Well I mean you don't make your own rules army and right now we're also seeing about he's been trying to change the role the rules about a filibuster. I mean you know and I know that you filibuster and Mary Landry is filibusters everybody at one time and on the can put the little blue piece of paper whatever. They kind of hold up the action on certain on certain issues. I mean. When looking for transparency across the board and all this stuff. There are -- ever see those kinds change. I hope perhaps resolve the right way as well Harry Reid is invited to. So buster because what he does spears. Block out all of moments on the second -- -- again or don't want to get into the weeds it's -- still in the tree in terms of blocking out all other apartments. What is sanction that essentially is is our. Again oral option is blocking out senators' ability. And happens to the challenge or. That's fundamentally what needs to change so we can get back to the past China tradition which has opened debate and it opened them impossible. So -- but when adding these amendments and and they would be ended openly on the floor here goes nothing more that's so well I'm so you're talking about how they handle I don't know. I don't know. You know why would work. I'm -- around a bunch of different subject but what I'm talking about she is an open three debate and amendment process naturally bench. Shut down on the planet was sort of forget our goal it's really unfortunate. But doesn't serve anyone well in terms of Americans whatever state he comes from whether it's represented by Democrats or Republican. But does that would -- by eight. Cutting out any additional many amendments. Would that make things stand alone or that just means we're not gonna know about him until have to get past. And I just names keep expansion Lou what amendments we get to vote -- including. Other mountains which are completely overlay that's just -- it is a gatekeeper detection shares. And that is that. How long has that been going on listen. It's -- -- practice is gone through the groups under Harry Reid called -- and up to create the sort of impact Gordon -- happened which. Many many many probably are on the -- -- under earlier than under all of this product structure in particular. And Karen and Andy and he's safely in that position ensconced in a position for what. Another two years at least there and it's become a real immediate it is -- years ago. He comes up in forty years that is certainly a majority leader for this congress which is just starting so. Memorable and actually here. And then one last thing because. The fiscal cliff vote that came across -- mean. View -- him. The Euro Mary Landry you both voted for this thing and end of the comments that your enemy considerably more than you expected from President Obama what's it looking like up and signed -- now. Well first of all you know I voted for it that very president -- because it was simply the least bad alternative of all. Very bad alternatives. All taxes were going up automatically we actually went off -- fiscal clips we went off on. Midnight December 31 so we will have to social -- taxes went up. Dramatically on everybody each. And that's still merely brought them back spam on the great majority of people but not everybody if I were king for a day -- to remain the same when everybody. Record -- wasn't in the cards particularly after the new memberships election. Well I mean I'm also reading some number one wanted to get why did he gets -- a point. We all remember those are Erskine Bowles then and and -- -- that to hang in there are. Nobody. Nobody liked -- per say but everybody recognize that things need to be -- and hardly any of that was was was -- in. The president's own direction you'll remember he. Alone it created an opponent that connection. They came out with a report I didn't like every aspect of the report but at least -- Faced our big fiscal issues wearily. And pro Obama appreciated Charles put that report on the shelves and ignore. And then a week and then we get to a point where we had a big gang that couldn't get another set OK if you guys can make up your mind them we're gonna have so frustration and all the rest of the -- and we basic run again got to the last minute why I have not been worked in for the last two years. Well on this stuff so we would have been at the fiscal Clinton and I mean I'm reading stuff that happened in the last August. That must be voted on and debated this -- and -- -- and then. It ends up in in this in this deal that got cut I mean current why why was announced ominous stuff -- would bless our. Well I owe a lot of this from the congress have been debating musician and church contraction. Shall eat lunch and even years. But -- is making sure that they take presidential leadership and there's certainly President Obama -- You elected to upon elected to get through election without stop putting out any big ideas are without waiting in a substantial -- I thought I was too and there's advantages certainly wasn't in the country as a brand. And soul what are we look at them now where we at right now. Well -- -- they keep and we got more clips coming up. You're the only good leaders in terms of there's still that we passed is that. Taxes are -- down and we're not talking about actually anymore on the Republican soul it's gonna all be. About spending and that has actually they're done and that's put Tibet and we need to. And really it throughout what sprawling all. Spending the spending and debit card but hill is reporting the Democrats are looking for another trillion dollars in taxes I don't know what you're looking for black people that -- -- a path. Trillion dollar mark up I have ever growing knowledge but not as fast or we're going to know much about ten cents a month or perhaps actually we're down. All right.
